Information for consumers
This text is addressed to clients who are consumers, i.e. persons who conclude a contract for the provision of legal services outside the scope of their business or independent professional activity.

Legal services
Our law firm provides legal services to consumers mainly in the field of civil, labour, criminal and real estate law. A contract for legal services may be concluded orally or in writing, including by means of electronic communication. All services are provided in accordance with the Law on Advocacy, the Code of Ethics for Advocates, the regulations of the Czech Bar Association and applicable laws. A contract for legal services may be concluded for a fixed or indefinite term, with a notice period not exceeding three months for contracts for an indefinite term.

Remuneration for legal services
The fee for our services is agreed individually and reflects the time, professional and linguistic complexity of the case. The standard hourly rate is fixed, while in exceptional cases a flat or share fee may be agreed. VAT is added to the fee at the statutory rate. Before the commencement of the provision of legal services, the client is informed of the amount of the fee and how it is determined. If the fee is not agreed, an extra-contractual fee will be charged in accordance with Decree No. 177/1996 Coll., on lawyers' fees and lawyers' remuneration for the provision of legal services (Lawyer's Tariff), as amended. The consumer may pay the agreed fee by bank transfer or, within the legal limit, in cash.

Expenses and advances
Expenses related to the provision of legal services, such as administrative or court fees, notary fees, translation services, expert reports or other external expenses, are added to the fee. In some cases, an advance payment may be required. Billing and invoicing is usually upon completion of the service or at the end of the calendar month, with a 14-day due date unless otherwise agreed.

Liability for damages
Our firm will be liable for damages caused in the performance of legal services unless we can prove that such damages could not have been prevented with all reasonable efforts. We are insured against liability for damages.

Termination of legal services
Our firm may terminate a contract to provide legal services to a consumer if (i) the necessary trust between them is breached, or (ii) the consumer fails to provide the necessary cooperation, or (iii) the consumer insists that Vogl & Partners follow the consumer's instructions despite being advised that the consumer's instructions are contrary to law or state statute, or (iv) the consumer fails to make a reasonable deposit of the legal services fee when asked to do so. Vogl & Partners must terminate the legal services contract due to a conflict of interest as described in Section 19 of Act No. 85/1996 Coll. on the Legal Profession, as amended.

The consumer is entitled to terminate the legal services contract at any time, even without giving any reason.
